Circe’s Island

At university I studied Interactive Media. During my second year I learned about HTML and how to use it creatively.

My first project was an educational yet fun website based on Greek mythology and the Greek Goddesses, for children aged 6-12.

I aimed to add a second section of Greek Gods but unfortunately ran out of time.

The project was called Circe’s Island and it was a dress up game of Greek Goddesses based on the popular depictions of a selection of Goddesses. I used the myth of Circe the enchantress and her Island. She would entice sailors to stay on the Island where she would turn the men into swine and make the women work for her. I chose this myth because it would explain the Goddesses visiting the Island to be waited on and made over.

There are many flaws with this project that I would have improved if I had time. However, I do like the models and clothes themselves. This was the first time I used a digital art software and I think it was successful.
