“Short, live-action film created in 2014 by a passionate, collaborative team; Gloomy Sheep Productions & CPS Films. Not affiliated with the BBC.
We are a non-profit educational project. Although we are not affiliated with the BBC or the official Dr Who brand, we have permission from them to use certain aspects of the imagery for the purpose of this project.
The cast and crew is made up of students studying at Coryton Primary School and the University of South Wales, both of which are based around the vicinity of Cardiff, Wales.
THE STORY IS BASED ON THE AWARD-WINNING SERIES, BBC’S DR WHO…
The film follows the regeneration of FOUR DOCTORS across TWO MINI EPISODES through time and space as he encounters all kinds of out-of-this-world troubles along the way! In an attempt to solve them, he – along with his trusty companions – are ultimately thrown into the Victorian era. The Doctor battles the likes of terrifying coal monsters and vanishing children before venturing on – another day, another dimension!
We aim to make this an industry-standard production with the help of pledges and funding from the likes of yourselves (yes, YOU!)
This is an educational project. The hard work, effort and time being put into the production by all the students involved directly effects their education and grades. For all those involved from USW, this project is a chance to work professionally to create an industry-standard motion picture. For the students of Coryton Primary, this a project is spanning across the entire curriculum. Although we have no affiliation with the BBC or the official Dr Who brand, we have permission to use certain aspects of its imagery. We (the students) are solely responsible for the production, post-production, packaging and screening of the film.
When will this film be complete?
The production of this film is set to take place over a period of weeks in February. Following that, we’ll go straight in post-production, polishing the final cut and getting it ready to premiere at its very own Cineworld screening in April 2014.”
